"I'm a student of Zoe's in an adult ballet class at the YMCA, where Zoe makes us all feel like real dancers. Her classes are rigorous but enjoyable, featuring interesting musical choices and her own brand of gentle encouragement. Even though different people show up to each class, she knows each one of us by name -- proof of her dedication and investment." – Helen Kapstein

After years of teaching weekly in-person Adult Ballet classes, I am no longer offering in-person group dance sessions. Please visit YSDT’s Virtual Studio for an online class schedule taught by a rotating group of artists, appropriate for movers of all levels.

I am still offering special workshops and master classes to students of all levels; feel free to email me if you are interested in hosting me at your studio or school. Past teaching experiences include: workshops at LAKE Studios Berlin (2019), Seoul Dance Center (2017), Ehwa Dance Academy (Incheon, South Korea, 2017), and Chungnam National University (Daejeon, South Korea, 2016), and at countless studios, gyms, afterschool programs and summer workshops throughout New York City.

As part of Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre, I’ve taught movement workshops in NYC at BOOM! Health (Bronx), Fort Hamilton High School (Brooklyn), Office for Child and Family Services Juvenile Detention Center in Staten Island, and The Staten Island Youth and Justice Center among others; nationally at Drew University (NJ), Middlebury College (VT), Dance Initiative (CO), UMass Boston, and the University of Virginia; and abroad in Japan, Jordan, Palestine, and South Korea. I’ve taught at Hunter College and Carnegie Hall with Maria Bauman/MBDance; with the Movement Party at the Fleet Moves Dance Festival in Wellfleet, MA.
