"Zoe creates a safe and inclusive environment, in which all are equipped with the tools to explore, deepen and discover." – Cara Surico

I’ve been teaching yoga, pilates and dance since 2005 in gyms, schools, studios, private and corporate locations throughout New York City, and at special workshops regionally and abroad. My experience ranges from toddlers to seniors, and includes special populations such as professional and pre-professional dancers, incarcerated youth, and English as a second language (ESL) populations. My foundation for teaching lies first in my dance education, with training in anatomy and kinesiology from Rebecca Dietzel at the Ailey/Fordham BFA program, and years of self-study and practice working with and to prevent injuries. I received my 200 hour yoga certification in 2007 through It’s Yoga, a nationally recognized and Yoga Alliance certified Ashtanga Yoga program, and am CPR and First Aid certified.

YOGA

Vinyasa Yoga is defined as the linking of breath with movement. Influenced by my practice of dance and choreography as well as almost 20 years of yoga study, my classes feature unique and thoughtful sequences designed to align, strengthen and open the body and mind.
